Agriculture and Fisheries Council

The Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) is the main EU decision-making authority for issues concerning agriculture, fisheries and rural development. The Council's main task is, together with the European Parliament, to adopt EU legislative acts. The Agriculture and Fisheries Council meets once per month in Brussels or Luxemburg. Agriculture ministers of EU member states take part in Council meetings. Council decisions constitute a compromise developed during negotiations between all EU member states.
