Joint welcoming of Croatia!

 
The project ‘Dobrodošli – Poland welcomes Croatia’ has begun. Together we can create history!
 
The official partner of the initiative is the European Commission Representation in Poland.
 
To coincide with the signing of the EU accession treaty by Croatia in December of this year, the Polish Presidency is starting an unusual project. Its result will be the recording of a welcome speech in which everyone will be able to take part.
 
The name of the project comes from the Croatian word for ‘Welcome’ – which in Polish sounds interesting as it comprises the words ‘good’ and ‘arrive’.
 
All you need to do is to record a short film on your phone or camera, expressing in a few words what you would like to pass on to the citizens of the country which is embarking on the same road Poland took a few years ago.
 
The collected films will be made into one speech, which will be a symbolic present from the Polish Presidency for Croatia. The film will also be published on the official portal www.pl2011.eu as well as the social channels of the Presidency.
 
STEPS:
 
1. Record a short film (max. 20 seconds): record your words of welcome for Croatians. For example you can say what being in the EU means to you, what has changed since Poland’s accession, what Croatia can expect, what memories you have associated with the country, or simply say ‘welcome’
The form and words are up to you – the more original the better!
 
2. Send us the film: this can be in the form of a link to your film on YouTube, a link to a film on an external server on the internet, or by e-mail to prezydencja@msz.gov.pl provided the file does not exceed 7 MB.
 
3. Make sure you add the following header to the e-mail: 'I, the undersigned………(name and surname), with national ID card number………….., give my consent to use freely the film I am sending, including the distribution of my likeness by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (with headquarters in Warsaw, al. J.Ch. Szucha 23) for the needs of the project “Dobrodošli - Poland welcomes Croatia to the EU”’.

4.Films must be sent by 28^th November 2011.
 
5. We will put together an official welcome montage of selected films
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reserves the right to use the selected films or just a snippet from them.
